Dorn Method

Dorn has its origins in South Germany and has been used very successfully now for more than 35 years.  It consists of a range of exercises and techniques which help joints and vertebrae slip back into their natural position without any 'clicking' or 'crunching'.

During a Dorn Method treatment, you work together with the Therapist at all times.  Treatment iteself begins with a leg length comparison check, a high percentage of people suffering from back pain show a leg length difference.  Simple, safe corrections are then made by the therapist as necessary and, to support this work, you will be shown how to carry out simple leg length corrections for yourself at home.

Next, your pelvis is checked for any imbalances followed by the spinal column and vertebrae of the neck.  Any imbalances are addressed using very gentle and safe techniques.  All corrections take place in a dynamic way, this simply means you work together with the therapist, through gentle movement of your limbs enabling the joints to slip more easily back into a better position.

Dorn Method can also be combined with a very relaxing spinal massage called the Breuss Massage.  This is a gentle massage using oils that safely stretches, nourishes, aligns and energises the back.  This combination of both Dorn and Breuss Massage provide a very effective tool to gently align the spine and joints, and regenerate the whole body system in a simple and very effective way.
